The dada movement took place during World War I, and it was about angry artist and writers spitting on nationalism and disrespecting things. It is clear to see that dadaism is definitely shown in this artwork because they are making fun on the monalisa by putting a mustache and words on the artwork. This is very direspectful to the artist that made this. Therefore, this artwork is related to dadaism.

My experience creating my portrait was a very interesting and required many steps. The first step that we had to do was print out a picture of someone with the same name as us and is not famous. I found a girl who with light skin and curly hair dark hair. Therefore, I had to use a light and dark value, and the color that I chose was red. The next step that we had to do was grid out our picture. After we gridded out our picture, we had to draw in each box what we saw in the picture. Then, the next step was to paint. Painting was the most difficult part to me because you had to be very careful and make sure that you get all of the values. Creating the portrait in general was a challenge, but I am glad that I received a chance to get that experience. It was very fun, and I enjoyed myself.

The colors that the artist used in this work were orange, blue, and black. In art class, we have been learning about the many of different color schemes and things that you can do with colors. For example, we learned about complementary colors and split complementary colors which is like contrasting colors. The different colors and schemes that we learned were very helpful in creating out portraits. In conclusion, I think that the artist was trying to create a calm mood to just look at the art and admire it.

For this artwork, the sprite element that I thought it touched on was social, political, and economical. This artwork touched on social because it is a family, and it is clear that they are socializing with eachother as a family in the morning time. I say this because usually in the morning is when families read the newspaper. Therefore, this is social. Furthermore, another sprite element that this portrait touched on was political. This is because the newspaper usually has something to do with politics and other news updates. Therefore, political is another sprite element that this portrait touched on. Lastly, this artwork is also economical. I say this because the newspaper is also usually about the economy because we are apart of it. In conclusion, this artwork touched on a few of the sprite elements.
